Visitors appreciate the lively atmosphere and the opportunity to experience Cuban culture firsthand. While some find the garden area small, the surrounding bars and restaurants provide ample seating for relaxation and people-watching.
"In this square, which is a square that connects the Céspedes park to the Marti square, you can see, as in all of Santiago de Cuba, the Cuban idiosyncrasies at each step. The sale of fruits, beer, music, Sala Dolores in which concerts are held. Better said, recommended place to go and if you have time enjoy the Cuban, international and national art that you can enjoy in the only Dolores as well as in the whole city.
The plaza is long and thin, with a memorial in the centre, and the actual garden area is relatively small, compared to the space taken over by tables and chairs for the bars and restaurants. We stopped by on a couple of occasions, and had pleasant drinks inside a couple of the bars as outside was just too hot for us."

"Small, tree shaded park. Not as pleadant as the larger one nearby by the cathedral"
