Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Šibenik City Museum for its fair entry fee and well-curated exhibits that offer a comprehensive historical journey. The Prince's Palace setting and multimedia elements are highlights, though some noted occasional monitor outages and questioned entrance accessibility for wheelchairs.

"We passed the museum on our way to the church. Two big canons graced the frontage with stoneworks on the lawn.. We didn't go in ...as the reviews were contradictory...but aircon not working means we made a correct decision on a superhot day in July .
Maybe next time we will go in."

"The entry fee of 5€ is very fair for the experience at the Šibenik City Museum.
While it’s a smaller museum, it presents its content across several levels, starting with a beautifully designed ground floor featuring a glass ceiling.
The exhibition is very well-curated, allowing visitors to follow the city’s historical timeline as they make their way through the museum.

Though it’s not a huge museum and the number of exhibits is limited, the arrangement is thoughtful, with everything explained clearly in both Croatian and English.
There are also several multimedia and video installations that provide more in-depth details and immersive scenes from the past, closely tied to the artifacts on display.

Unfortunately, some of the monitors were off during our visit, possibly because we were the only visitors at the time.
One great feature is that all levels of the museum are accessible by wheelchair, although I did wonder how a wheelchair user would navigate the stairs at the entrance, as I didn’t notice a ramp or lift.

Overall, it’s a very enjoyable museum experience, and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in the history of Šibenik."
