What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pokrivenik Bay is lauded as one of Hvar's most beautiful beaches, praised for its stunning scenery, clear waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling, and the unique Blue Cave. Visitors appreciate its family-friendly nature and the potential for secluded spots. However, the challenging access road and potential for crowds during peak summer months are noted drawbacks.
"The best beach on Hvar overall. Nice scenery. A very deep reaching bay inbetween tall rocks allows for a pleasant swimming and an interesting snorkeling. More towards family than a party. More people if a boat visits but still okay. The access road is steep and narrow but hey, RVs can make it to the camp below too."

"Visited in June, parked right on the bay and was very quiet. We only saw one other family in 3 hours and found a sheltered private spot by clambering over the rocks 100m from the main beach area. As with all parts of the Croatian coast, it will be different in July and August, so come in June or September when so much quieter to enjoy the tranquility."
Apartment Beth
"Quiet little beach with a nice cave which is more of a point view than a cave to visit.
The asphalt road is difficult, specially last part of it and in particular if you meet another car. Therefore a bit of luck, good driving and a good car are in need.
Beach is dog frienly and also has sun in the first part of the day. We arrived at about 4:30 pm in Sept and the beach was in shade due to the massive mountains left and right."
