Reviews Summary

Zagreb Zoo is widely praised for its excellent value, spacious and clean environment, and diverse animal collection, particularly its reptiles. Visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the integration with Maksimir Park, though some note that certain enclosures could be larger. Overall, it's considered a highly recommended and affordable attraction.

"A very well-maintained Zoo, a green oasis with good spaces for the animals. Even during the warmer part of the day, the lush surroundings offer coolness and shade. The park is relatively large in terms of surface area, with canals and islands, and borders Park Maksimir. Among the interesting animals is the red panda, which is not so common to see. The price to visit the zoo is almost laughably low - 4 euros for an adult. Taking the tram here from the central parts of Zagreb is easy, there are stops outside the main entrance. The journey takes 10 minutes. Well-stocked souvenir shop, humane prices in the restaurant and well-maintained toilets. Recommend setting aside at least 2 hours, I stayed 3 hours before closing, and I will go back again tonight. The park is large, never felt crowded during my visit."
