What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Zagreb Eye offers stunning panoramic views of the city, with many praising the friendly staff and the value of an all-day ticket. However, the presence of steel bars can be a drawback for photography enthusiasts. The on-site bar provides a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy the scenery.
"This is situated just off the Joseph Jelacic Square, through some sliding glass doors. We'd seen the observation deck in Bratislava but this couldn't have been more different - the girl in Bratislava couldn't even be bothered to look up from filing her nails as she took our money and indicated the vague direction of the lifts. The girls in Zagreb were very helpful and pleasant as they explained that the ticket (€4?) lasted all day so we could return at any time. We walked around the ledge, very carefully taking pictures, before sitting inside and having a coffee. Two coffee here cost about half the UK cost.
We returned in the evening and took some more photos and had coffee again. It would have been nice to eat too but we were on a sightseeing mission!"

"The Zagreb 360 Tower is a really nice viewpoint in Zagreb Downtown. You can look far away over the whole city. The price is a little bit expensive but all in all okay. The elevator is really fast and it’s a pleasant ride. At the top is a bar where you can buy drinks and other stuff. The personal is very very nice and friendly. You can see the sights of Zagreb from the top of the building.
This is a very nice place to visit in Zagreb, I can recommend it!"

"Offer some very best view for the whole city of Zagreb. From the upper-town to the lower-town. A long telephoto lense should help you to capture great details of this city. But it is not clearly marked of where is the entrance of the building."

👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Consider visiting during less crowded times, like weekday mornings, to allow children more space to move around and enjoy the view without feeling overwhelmed. The all-day ticket is also beneficial for families, as it allows for flexibility if the children get tired or if you want to return later in the day for a different perspective.

The Zagreb Eye Experience: Views and Vibes
The observation deck itself is designed to provide unobstructed views, though the presence of steel bars encircling the entire level has been a point of discussion among visitors. While these bars are likely for security, they can pose a challenge for photographers seeking pristine shots. Despite this, many find ways to capture memorable images, often by carefully maneuvering their cameras or phones through the gaps. The ticket's all-day validity is a significant plus, allowing visitors to return and experience the view under different lighting conditions, from the bright daylight to the enchanting city lights at night.
Inside the observation deck, a bar offers a relaxed setting to enjoy a coffee or a drink. This provides a comfortable space to rest and soak in the scenery. Some visitors have noted a lively atmosphere inside, with people engaging in games. The elevator ride to the top is also described as fast and pleasant, adding to the overall experience.
Photography at Zagreb Eye: Challenges and Tips
For those looking to capture more detail, a telephoto lens can be beneficial, allowing you to zoom in on specific buildings or landmarks from a distance. The best times for photography are often debated, with some preferring the clear visibility of daylight and others the magical ambiance of the city lights at night. The all-day ticket is a great advantage here, as it allows you to experiment with different times and lighting conditions without needing to purchase a new ticket.
While the bars are a notable feature, they don't detract entirely from the photographic potential. The sheer expanse of the city view from Zagreb Eye offers plenty of subjects, from intricate architecture to sprawling urban landscapes. Being mindful of the bars and experimenting with angles can still result in impressive and memorable photos of Zagreb.
