"On of the series of seven fortified castles along this section of coast. Now open as a museum, interesting to explore and imagine life in these buildings when they functioned as an essential refuge."

Zeglar “Zeg” Fergus

"Absolutely a must-see if one is visiting Split or Trogir and has a few spare days to do some sight seeing in places outside those towns!
In fact, the whole Kastela area with its 7 castles (from Štafilić to Gomilica - the 7th one after Gomilica called Sucurac is not so great as closer to an industrial estate at the back of Split) is absolutely stunning, with an amazing atmosphere walking among the small bars along the sea side - In particular Castle Vitturi is so scenic and there is an amazing tourist office inside, with lots of information on Kastela area itself but also on all of Split riviera from Seget up to Omis - Therefore I highly recommend a visit here also to get extra info on other places to visit in the area!"
