What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Brusnik Islet is a unique volcanic destination praised for its raw, natural beauty and endemic wildlife. Visitors highlight the thrill of exploring its rugged terrain and spotting the rare black lizards. However, the challenging, hot ground requires careful preparation with appropriate footwear.
"Volcano island with lobster traps in the middle of it. Hard to walk on but worthed any bruise you may get while making photos of black lizzards."

"A must visit place for all adventure and nature lovers!
Day excursion & paddle board safari around volcanic islet of Brusnik, with lunch."
Vis Sea Adventure
"There are 2 unique islands in Adriatic, one is sandy Susak and this one which is volcanic. Name is coming from Slavic brus which means whetstone for which volcanic stones were used. Only way to reach it is to use your boat, rent it or find somebody to do it for you. Island is very small and looks like boat of even more like submarine. They say that in famous naval battle between Italy and Austria Italians were shelling this island mistakenly taking it for warship. And in Yugoslav time navy was using this island also as target practice but it is safe for visit. What is also interesting is that in the middle of the island there are traditional fish and lobster traps when there are storms and high waves can bring fish. There is also nice beach with black stones and big round pebbles. As it is very small island you can walk it to reach peak and go around it. But it is very hot and do not even think going around without shoes as stones are extremely hot even after few seconds. You can find endemic black lizard and there is one pair of Eleonara's falcons on the island."
