"It was really nice. The beach was clean, and the waves were large. Very blue water. The little town had all sorts of cute shops and funky stalls with artists, jewelry makers and restaurants. Love Puerto Viejo!"

"Puerto Viejo de Talamanca is a small town on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. It's very popular with tourists. There are more beautiful places close to this town such as Punta Uva, Gandoca Manzanillo Refuge and National Park Cahuita. I think this is a party town just like Jaco Beach on the Pacific coast of the country. This is nice as well."

"Go for the black sand beach if for no other reason. It is absolutely incredible. It glistens as if there are micro diamonds and minerals in it. I swear you can feel the energy enter your body from the sand through your feet. I loved fresh fruit, the healthy green drinks and walking the center of town on a random night during New Year’s Eve."
