"Really nice resort, we stayed three nights which was a bit expensive. Could have done two nights or even one as long as you plan your activities ahead of time. The only nice view of the hills on the property is from the hot tub for some reason. The Rooms are big but noisy from other guests. Food is okay, it’s a resort. Some things are expensive like $9 small empanada by the pool…why? The zip line is amazing and highly recommended. The hot springs was great. The waterfall was nice. Access to ricon de la Veja hiking is separate from the resort."

"This is a great starter place for families seeking many activities in the same place - hot springs, horseback riding, massages, hiking, etc...I just did the day pass for hot springs and a massage. If you're just going up for the day, I would suggest 3 activities (it's a bit of a drive to get there). I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than three nights (maximum) - definitely branch out, get to the beach, go see animals, explore other areas of CR. The staff here are nice, so be respectful. Dear families (especially from the U.S) be patient, be kind, and represent your country well."

"We loved our time at Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin! There is a lot of beautiful things to see and do right on the property and very close to the National Park and La Leona. As someone with a gluten allergy, I was delighted that all the food on the property is Gluten Free (and delicious!). We stayed in the Honeymoon suite and while the room was great, we were bummed that the private pool was not heated and very cold. Overall, I highly recommended a stay here."
