What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
La Tigra Rainforest Lodge offers a deeply immersive nature experience with stunning jungle sounds and abundant wildlife, particularly during night walks. While the secluded location and natural ambiance are highly praised, some guests have noted issues with customer service and the quality/price of food at the on-site restaurant. The adventurous access road also requires careful planning.
"Great place but no good customer service.
+ Great experience in the midth of nature. The sound of rain as amazing as the sound of all the frogs around. We loved it!
- Since the place IS remote, we explicitly asked for breakfast times in advance (since we needed to be on-time for activities in La Fortuna and also wanted to be out rather early for trips into nature. Upon arrival we were told that the booking team is disconnected somewhat from the place itself and the breakfast would only be served later. Having asked for explanation or comment then via booking.com comms channel, no answer received.... This is costing points and stars..."

"We absolutely loved our stay here and regret not staying longer. The room and private bathroom was nicer than we could have hoped for and our primary host, Yonderson, was delightful and happy to share their knowledge of the regional critters with us. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, with honesty. The nature trails and frog sounds at night were a highlight of our time in Costa Rica."
Luke Miller
"It’s a bit adventurous to reach, but totally worth it! This hidden gem in the jungle is peaceful, secluded and the perfect place to unwind. The hotel has its own hiking trails and you're right in the jungle surrounded by a beautiful nature. The breakfast was especially great. I felt very comfortable and had an excellent start to my Costa Rica trip!"
