What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find Aguti Wildlife Reserve to be a pleasant place for a forest walk with opportunities to see various wildlife and impressive flora. While some note the trails are well-maintained and offer moderate hiking, others mention the potential for noise from nearby adventure parks and varying animal sightings. The rescued jaguar exhibit is a unique draw for many.
"Very nice leisure through 5K down and back a plot of forest. Bring a raincoat. Some parts had stair climbing. Saw that red panda looking fox bear on top of a tree stump just chomping. Was warned of a snake on the ground up ahead but never saw it."
Jasiel Burgos
"Well maintained set of trails with lots of different flora and fauna. Lots of great stops with fruiting and flowering plants that attract a variety of birds and animals. We saw Guara's, coatis, Motmots, Agutis, and more within the first steps of the trail! Some of the older strangle figs are truly massive and beautiful.
The signage is a bit odd and the furthest reaches of the park feel not to scale (longer and steeper) compared with rest of park.
We did in morning all the way and afternoon several timea about 1/2 way in. If you're looking for animals, we saw most in the first 1/2 of the park but if you're looking for a Medium difficulty moderately adventurous hike, then do the whole thing!"

"A unique opportunity to see a Jaguar, unfortunately in a cage... but it is a rescue place.."
