We would highly recommend staying here if you want to enjoy prestine nature, spot some beautiful (endemic) birds or just be off the beaten path for a while. One of the most important reserves in southwestern Colombia, located in the Altaquer district, Barbacoas municipality, Nariño department.

The different species I was fortunate enough to witness left me in love. A frog with its transparent belly showing its body with love and pride, a colorful centipede, a seven-colored hummingbird fighting with its companions to defend its territory (the reserve is home to the largest number of hummingbirds in the south of the country), an olinguito that arrived, captivated us, and left with a single blink.
The Ñambi River flows through the heart of the rainforest, offering a refreshing respite from the jungle's humidity.
This area survived the harsh forces of our country and, in turn, became a meeting point for environmentalists who come from all over the world to attend the country's most important bird festival.
