"On Sept 30th/2024 had the opportunity to visit nirvana in La buitrera, Palmira. I live in Atlanta GA and was vacationing in Cali, my hometown. Nirvana is a great experience - it’s a botanical preserve with wonderful trees and flowers, a butterfly conservatorium, and a hiking trail that takes you to the mountain top to a spot called Mirador de los Vientos - nice steep walk. The restaurant offers the best sancocho de gallina I’ve have had in a long time - empanadas are also really good. Typical Valle del Cauca food delicacies.
I highly recommend to visit this natural sanctuary. Nirvana is also going to host events for the upcoming COP16 biodiversity conference in October to be held in Cali, Colombia."
