What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests are captivated by the historical charm and the stunning natural swimming pool at Molino de la Mesopotamia. While rooms are noted as simple, the serene gardens and unique ambiance provide a memorable escape. It's praised for its tranquility and connection to nature, though some visitors mention minor organizational hiccups upon arrival.
"The grounds are very pretty and full of history. Our room, no 18, was pretty simple, incl the bathroom, so don't expect too much. Arrival at the hotel was a bit disorganised as nobody answered the doorbell and we had 1 small and 1 big towel for 2 persons in the room. It was solved. You pay for the place and the pool, rather. The natural swimming pool is wonderful, really an added value. It is not quite clear what the complex of buildings and grounds actually is, there is the ho(s)tel, there are people living there, and there were teenagers coming over for a swim. Is it semi-open? I understood it used to be. Breakfast is not included, yet there is a nice, small breakfast/lunch café on site (open 9 am so a bit late for brekkie, till 3 pm), as we'll as a nice hotel in the plaza at 200 m with a very good breakfast from 8-11 am at 55.000 pesos, well worth it."

"The hotel is beautiful, huge and has an incredible history. It makes you connect yourself with the nature and it's very close to the central square (main plaza). Don Claudio is the best host and his wife makes the best Venezuelan breakfast. They both were super kind and helped us with recommendations (activities, restaurants, etc).
My friends and I are coming back soon!"

"Very cool old place to stay. The area is super quiet and relaxing. The pool is unique. Good hot water in the bathroom. It's close enough to downtown to be convenient and far enough away to be very quiet.
I booked a room through Airbnb ("Habitación colonial casona patrimonio arquitectón"). Currently they are not at capacity and have very few staff, so if you need a lot of attention it might not be a good option."
