What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking panoramic views of Medellín from Cerro El Picacho, especially during sunset. The Christ the King statue is a notable landmark. However, many caution against using Waze for navigation due to difficult roads and highlight challenges with securing return transportation via ride-sharing services.
"Warning — do not use Waze to give directions to get here. It took us up a small, basically one way very very steep winding road that overheated our car. And you could see the statue, but couldn’t actually get to it. We have driven in many countries, and this road was not one we would ever choose to go on - but once committed, there’s no turning around there’s barely room to even pass another car. We had to pop up on a curb just to allow a car to pass through. Our rental alarm for either breaks or overheating was ringing in our Chevrolet SUV {newer model- not even an old car} View at top of mountain is great but make sure to use google maps"

"One of the best views in Medellín. One thing to take into account if you arrive in an Uber/InDrive is that service is super spotty and it’s nearly impossible to find someone to take you back down for a good price."
