What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Shanghai Happy Valley for its well-maintained grounds and variety of thrilling rides, noting that weekdays offer a nearly empty park experience. The night scenery and water show are also highlighted as enjoyable aspects. However, like many amusement parks, long wait times can occur during peak periods, and afternoon tickets might limit the number of rides one can experience.
"Went during weekday & literally there were almost no one. Managed to do most of the rides and had a good time. The park is pretty well maintained and it's quite nice to be at. Very pretty and highly recommended. My son did the ride alone..something you cannot get to do anywhere."

"Lots of great roller coasters & funny attraction.
We can a week day and maximum queue was 15minutes many attraction had 0 waiting queue.
Lot of fun"
Camille Roux
"Best rollercoaster ride I've been to, and I'm an adrenaline junkie, ofc like any amusement park there's a long wait time and rides closes around 8pm to 9pm, so getting the afternoon tix may not be so ideal if you wish to ride more things. Night scenery is good though. There's a water show at the end of the day, quite pretty too. There is a water park inside too (cost extra) but looks pretty fun bring your swimming trunks"

👨👩👧 Families with Kids
To make the day smoother, consider visiting on a weekday to avoid long queues, which can be challenging with children. The availability of free shuttle buses from the subway also simplifies travel. While there's a water park on-site, it requires a separate ticket, so decide if that's an additional activity you'd like to budget for. Remember to pack essentials like snacks, drinks (if park policy allows), and rain gear, especially if visiting during the wetter months.
