"Our group arrived at The Xiaoqikong Scenic Area after lunch. It was raining , but we managed to take slow walk under our ponchos !!
We were told that this area is known for its diverse karst landscape . It features mountains, forests, caves waterfalls, lakes and the ancient Xiaoqikong Bridge (The Seven Small Arches) built in 1836.
From a distance, this seven arches bridge is made of granite strips , it is covered with vines and ferns. It approx. 25 meters long, 1.8meters wide and 4 meters high. Underneath we could see the enchanting green Lake.
We walked through the Water Forest overgrown with trees and shrubs, forming an emerald barrier. The clear water poured down through the thicket of trees in the riverbed.
There are plenty of fishes swimming happily in The Wolong Pool. The Wolong Pool water is very clear and reflective, mirroring the surrounding mountains and trees.
The water mist splashing down from Laya Waterfall measuring approximately 10 meter wide & 30 meters down is so refreshing and cool !!!
If you're ever in Guiyang, Xiaoqikong Scenic Area is definitely worth the visit for its natural beauty and tranquil vibes. It’s a place to relax, unwind, with plenty of photography opportunities too !!!"
