Beautiful old buildings, cobbled roads and alleyways, and lots of lovely little bridges and canals. Tonnes of food and souvenir options. Many options to try XiaoLong Bao as NanXiang claims to be the origin of the delicious dumpling.
It even has a Buddhist Temple and its own garden - there are entrance fees, but you can get a 40元 combination ticket that includes both, as well as a XiaoLongBao museum, and a museum on the town.
Worth checking out GuYi Garden, too, whilst you're in the area."
