What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sandiequan Waterfall is a visually striking natural attraction, praised for its dramatic multi-tiered cascades and the scenic hike. However, visitors consistently note the demanding nature of the trek, involving thousands of steep stone steps, which can be tiring. While beautiful, some feel it might not be a top-tier natural wonder compared to others, but it's often a worthwhile part of a broader Mount Lu itinerary, especially for those who enjoy a good hike or cultural photo opportunities.
"As far as nature beauty goes, not a 5 star location even for China. It will be part of your tour itinerary so might as well enjoy it. First thing first,no cable cars, just a 15 mins trolley car to the park entrance. Faster if you get a daredevil driver like ours. Then it is about 90 mins hike to the end where the ‘famed’ 3 tier waterfall resides. We gave up as it get dark early and was raining. But we did reach eagle peak bridge which has a nice small fall. Overall the hike is just one long staircase with a river by the side. Like I said not a 5 star staircase"

"San Die Quan (Three Cascades Spring) isn't scary. Go down the mountain first, then back up. The stairs are all made of stone, making the descent more difficult than the ascent. Boat tours are available at the foot of the mountain, but they significantly detract from the scenery."
