Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Leifeng Pagoda for its breathtaking panoramic views of West Lake and the city, especially during sunset and at night when illuminated. The historical significance, tied to the legend of the White Snake, and the modern amenities like the elevator are also highly appreciated. Some find the entrance fee a bit high and note that the top floors can get crowded, even on weekdays.

"About a 5-10min walk from the entrance of 苏堤. Will pass by a Starbuck and a Chinese restaurant. Entrance fee to the tower is CNY40 per person. Going up the first level is the remains of the old tower. The stairs to the 2nd floor is on the left of the tower when you go up stairs toward the tower. From the 2nd floor you can take lift of stair up the tower. There is long queue for the lift, and the lift does not go to the top floor. You will still need to take the stairs for to the top floor. The view at the top is good, but a little crowded even on weekday. You get an all round view of West Lake and it’s breezy. Went on summer, so was especially nice to take a short break to enjoy the view and cool down."

"The view from up here was spectacular. Each step towards the top of the pagoda transforms you into a wiser human being. You learn that when you walk, you will be tired. When you sit, you will get bored."
