"Go in the morning, they place is very peaceful and serene. The architectures are mostly colonial types, and they are well maintained. Guangzhou is a city where you cannot simply cut down the trees. Shamiandao has a lot of old trees that are hundreds of years old. Worth a visit to take pictures"

"This place in Guangzhou is pretty interesting. It’s filled with colonial buildings I think its part of the French concession in early days . You will be surprised by how well maintained the buildings are.
You will see plenty of bronze statues around the island .
When you visit this place, you feel that you are transported back in time soaking up the atmosphere, and when the weather is not too hot. It is really quite a nice walk and it’s actually a pedestrian mall when in designated lanes vehicles are not allowed access, making it a pretty good walk ."
