📍Batu Caves, Malaysia I was excited to visit a colorful Hindu temple and Batu Temple definitely checks that box. It was extra cool because it is built into a mountain! It was a fun place to explore but even more fun to watch the crazy monkeys. It's definitely a "must visit" if you're in Kuala Lumpur. ❤️🧡💛 #traveltheworld #travel #traveling #traveler #travelholic #travelblog #girlswhotravel #t...

Reviews Summary

Pule Temple is appreciated for its unique blend of architectural styles and cultural influences, offering a peaceful experience with fewer crowds. While some find the Tantric statues unusual, the temple's name and philosophical meaning resonate with visitors. Be mindful of potentially overpriced guided tours and interior photography restrictions.

"Small compared to the Potala temple but still beautiful and interesting. The main circular hall looked a lot like the one at the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. It contained an exhibition of Tantric statues; each Bodhisattva or deity had a female consort, found it rather unusual. Photography not allowed in that main building though."

Siew Meng Tham

"Really, easy to get to and in the same place as anyuan temple and the lift to go to the hammer rock. The inside of the main temple, especially the ceiling is pretty nice. Like all the other temples, it's styled like a mixture of Han and Tibetan Buddhism. It was 30 rmb for me but I went during the off season."

Mike X

"Attributed to my lack of knowledge and ignorance to the Qing history, frankly, I don't have much memory or impression about this temple except that this temple has a strong Mongolian culture elements, which is the unique characteristics of this temple. And, for what it worth, I like that there's less crowd in this temple and the meaning of this temple, universal happiness. The name Pule in Chinese, literally means Universal Happiness, the emporer named it after Fan Zhongyan's (范仲淹) "The Story of Yueyang Tower" (《岳陽樓記》), "worry and worry before the world, and happiness after the world"(「先天下之憂而憂,後天下之樂而樂」)."
