Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the informative and engaging tours led by knowledgeable observatory staff. The breathtaking views from the mountaintop and the scenic journey up are frequently highlighted as major draws. While the tours are free, the limited availability and mandatory advance booking are crucial to note.

"Amazing, informative tour. Our tour was in Spanish but the tour guide did step aside to talk to us in English as we were the only 2 foreigners on the tour. It’s worth coming even just for the ride up to the observatory from the base of the mountain and the spectacular views from the top. The whole tour took nearly 4 hours including the 45 minute ride to the top (and back).
Pre-booking (free) is obligatory and recommended at least a month or more in advance."

"This is a fantastic experience, and well-organized one. The observatory itself is a state-of-the-art in my view. Folks from the observatory envisioned a form on their website to fill in, no phone calls are needed, a free bus from the checkpoint will get you to the observatory itself, the landscapes are breathtaking. The staff carrying out the excursions are the scientists themselves, very educated people that can explain how the things work in the observatory, and in the Universe. They even open the domes and move the lenses for the groups. I am absolutely amazed and strongly recommend it to everyone."
