What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Rainbow Valley's stunning, otherworldly colors, comparing it to a natural masterpiece. The unique mineral-rich hills and the opportunity to see ancient petroglyphs are major highlights. While some find the road access challenging, the breathtaking scenery and geological wonders make it a highly rewarding experience for most.
"The whole journey reminded me of the movie The Land Before Time (En busca del valle encantado for me) because of the landscapes. You can really picture how this place emerged millions of years ago when the tectonic plates collided and gave birth to this incredible terrain.
On our way to Valle del Arcoíris, we saw some petroglyphs made by native peoples during different periods. You could really see the evolution of their designs over time: the increasing detail and their growing understanding of the world. The earlier carvings were simple, like snapshots of what they saw in nature, and later ones reflected the importance of their surroundings, especially after they began domesticating animals.
Valle del Arcoíris was stunning. So many colors in the mountains thanks to the mix of minerals. Such a beautiful spot to visit!"

"10.000 entrance fee.
Beautiful views. You can go by car or by food. You walk a kilometer, after that there are three roads you can walk (or drive) and see different views."

"Beautiful! We were able to make it up there with a low clearance 2 wheel drive. No one was there to check our tickets or take our money. We just parked and walked around. Google says the road is closed but it wasn’t. We found a nice hike by walking up the road towards the green hills. You can make it a loop by following the trail."
