What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Santuario María Auxiliadora for its beautiful architecture, including impressive pillars, detailed woodwork, and lovely stained glass windows. Many appreciate the quiet shrines for reflection and the welcoming atmosphere. While generally well-regarded, some may find it a brief visit if not attending a service.
"The larger of the two Catholic Churches within town, impressive pillars and wonderful displays of wood working and masonry skills."

"A very beautiful church. Lovely stained glass windows. Small statues for the stations of the Cross. But there are also small shrine/places for reflection along the side walls that are dedicated to various attributes such as reflection unity, etc. These include some very lovely statues of various Catholic historical figures in repose. We were there during a service with about two dozen local people present they were friendly and were happy to have a walk around their church for a few minutes afterwards.
FWIW, I am not Catholic, but whenever I visit a church in my travels I always make sure to put something in the collection box so that these repositories of art will remain, whatever one's religious beliefs."
