Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Pali Aike National Park for its unique volcanic landscapes, including impressive craters and lava fields, and the informative insights provided by park staff. The opportunity to explore these geological wonders and spot wildlife like guanacos is a major draw. However, the strong Patagonian winds can be challenging, and potential park closures due to strikes are a concern for some.

"Amazing rock formations, would recommend doing the full lope to see the largest craters and walk through the lava field. When I visited in January, the water level in Laguna Ana is low so there is not any flamingos. The visitor center is informative and the lady working there is passionate and knowledgeable."

"Beautiful and informative park. The park officers at the welcome office were super nice. Walked us through the geology, trails, roads and flora/fauna of the park. We got there from Punta Arenas around 2pm and ended up doing three short hikes: Laguna Ana, Cueva Pali Aike, and lastly Crater Morada del Diablo. There were informative plaques along the latter 2 hikes about the geology and former inhabitants. Really interesting volcanic surroundings that I have never seen before! Including all the varied lichen covering the volcanic rock."

Suwei Wu

"Really nice and beautiful place. It's very windy but that's part of the Patagonia! Nice hiking paths. We had an motorhome so we could stay inside the park. That was really cool, no one around just you and the wind!"
