Reviews Summary

Visitors praise King Penguin Park for its unique opportunity to see King Penguins in a driveable habitat, highlighting the conservation efforts. However, many find the viewing distance challenging for photography without specialized equipment and note the long, potentially difficult journey. The park's remote location and lack of amenities are also common points of feedback. Reddit

"It's really good to see that there is someone who looks after our nature, and the penguins, all respect for that. The place itself is on private property and it is of course run as a business. As a visitor you don't get close to the penguins, you stand at about 50 meters distance. That means if you want good photos, you should have at least a magnification of x10 corresponding to 600 mm on a FF camera. You have two options for looking and one is sheltered from the wind. The whole visit is over in about 40 minutes after which you have the opportunity to look at some eggs and pictures in the main building. The two photos were taken with a mobile phone, through the stationary binoculars."

Carl Nielsen

"The penguins are so well protected you can’t see them clearly unless through the binoculars.
It’s a very long journey (4hrs each way) with nothing en route, inc a ferry, if it’s running because of the weather it’s often cancelled.
Less than an hour is all you are allowed. Apart from being told to stay quiet by the guide that was the only info we had. The tiny hut they call a museum is a extremely poor. A long way to travel for nothing sadly.
Make sure you book beforehand, they will turn you away otherwise.
You would do well to give it a miss."

Gigi

"This was 13 years ago and 2nd year after the the locals discovered the habitat of King penguins getting reestablished in this area on Tierra del Fuego. It wasn’t an easy trip for anyone by taking boat and van from early morning and spending 8 hours on the road. However, it’s well awarded and everything was worth it after seeing these creatures - even if it’s far, and they were only and the other side of the river, and only 30mins if not less, and we had to crawl all the time. NO REGRET AND BE RESPECTFUL TO THE NATURE!"
