What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Te Amo Beach is celebrated for its soft sandy shores and crystal-clear waters, offering a rare sandy beach experience on Bonaire. Visitors appreciate the convenient food trucks and decent snorkeling opportunities right off the shore. However, some note that public restroom facilities can be in poor condition and that the beach can get crowded, especially when cruise ships are in port.
"Easily one of the best beach spots I’ve been to. We visited during a cruise stop and it didn’t disappoint! Crystal clear waters with loads of coral and fishes soon as you get in beach has a couple of good trucks selling burgers and beers. The vibe is very chill so grab a cold drink and relax"

"Te Amo beach is a great sandy beach of which there are not many on Bonaire. Therefore you can go here without chairs and lay in the soft sand. Also getting in and out of the water is really easy. No shoes needed. If you come early you can even have a place in the shade underneath the few bushes that are there. Plenty Parking space available. There are public toilets but unusable because either clogged or horrible filthy. There was a food truck there when we visited. Could not comment on quality but found prices a but on the upside for truck food. Snorkeling is decent. Just in front of the beach there is a small reef. Mostly dead but still attracts a good amount of varied fish. Further out there is a bigger reef but this drops down deep fast and thus quickly out of sight of snorklers. However I found out that if you dare to venture out to the right there is a reef with live coral in shallow waters. Go towards the broken pier and further. I saw many barracuda there. But watch out. You have to pass a harbour inlet to get there and boots pass there regularly. The only downside of the beach is that it is close to the main road and airport and therefore you have some traffic noise and the occasional aircraft arriving or departing. We'll have fun at Te Amo beach!"

"Loved this little beach spot. Great for snorkeling with plenty of parking on their gravel lot. Come early to get one of their few shaded spots for a day at the beach.
This is conveniently located across from the airport. The gravel lot makes it easy for many people to enjoy. And, with two food trucks to choose from, you can easily be here all day.
While I came here for snorkeling the reef one day and lunch on another (at Kite City food truck - highly recommend, cash only), this place is quite an easy place to go. It is kid friendly but if you are wheelchair bound, there is limited availability for you to access the beach with ease.
There are some bathroom facilities but I didn’t use them so I cannot attest to their quality. Ample trash cans and recycling bins make it easy to clean up after yourself. Stop on in to enjoy a relaxing day."
