"We were here 3 years ago and the fort was open to the public. We were able to climb the tower and go up on the fort. This year it seems it now contains possibly government offices as there is now a gate that prevents tourists from going on the fort anymore. A guard saw me trying to take a photo through the gate and was very nice and opened the gate and allowed us to go up to take photos and then walked us back through the gate and closed it behind us. We were so grateful and happy to see how kind the guard was to allow us to go up and take some photos."
