Reviews Summary

Visitors often praise the Manitoba Children's Museum for its bright, creative, and hands-on exhibits that are engaging and developmentally appropriate for children. The food-themed climbing zone and interactive displays are frequently highlighted as favorites. However, some reviews mention concerns about exhibit maintenance, occasional closures, and the upkeep of the art area, with a few finding the museum smaller than anticipated for the admission price.

"We had a wonderful time at the Children’s Museum in Winnipeg! It’s a bright, creative, and hands-on space perfect for kids to explore, learn, and burn off energy.

One of our daughter’s favorite areas was the food-themed tunnel and climbing zone — fun, colorful, and safe. The exhibits are engaging without being overwhelming, and there’s plenty of room for kids of different ages to play at their own pace.

The staff were friendly, and the environment was clean and well-maintained. I also appreciated the thoughtful details like seating areas for parents and clear signage in English and French.

It’s definitely a must-visit for families in Winnipeg or anyone visiting with young children. Plan to spend at least 1.5 to 2 hours — the kids won’t want to leave!

"Very disappointing experience. We showed up after lunch and it was a disaster. The art area was an absolute nightmare and staff refusing to clean up the area, scissors and materials scattered all over the museum. Staff on the floor looked miserable and were not friendly. A lot of the exhibits were closed off or out of order, outside was “out of order” but staff couldn’t answer as to why. Not worth the 45$ for a family of three, take your money elsewhere. We were very disappointed with our visit…. It is time to switch it up especially if you continue to hike the price of admission. 4/10 recommend!

The staff at the front desk were lovely though."

"+ my son got free admission here because he is a member at Edmonton's Telus World of Science so that was a nice bonus

- this place is much smaller than Edmonton's science center so we were a bit disappointed when my kid wanted to leave after an hour (was bored)

- not alot of parking at the time

-the 'craft' area was a bit of a hot mess, lots of old crafts left behind, barely any glue, whatever bits of paper or plastic to be used was bleh

- there is an area to sit and eat but the concession wasn't open to buy snacks or drinks"
