The lifelike dioramas and comprehensive historical displays, covering everything from wildlife to the Gold Rush, are frequently highlighted as major draws. "An excellent and well laid out museum with plenty to see and explore. I particularly like the number of full size dioramas setup to recreate the look of the past.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have tours available, but I didn't have time to explore as unfortunately on Wednesday they open at 1pm instead of the usual 9:30am, so I didn't have enough time. This is just during the summer.

Overall, I highly recommend visiting if you have the time."
