"Ableside beach is very family oriented. You will see lots of kids playing around and there’s also a dog friendly off leach area. The playground for small kids is really fun too.
The Boatshed restaurant is a good way to have a snack or ice cream, I find the prices to be a bit hight but you pay also for the convenience. There’s a washroom attached to it, a water fountain to fill up your bottle and a nice foot wash and shower station.
There’s a lot of free parking but it will fill up fast in the morning, so get there early or you will have to wait for a while."
