What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Waterton Lakes National Park for its stunning natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and friendly staff. The convenience of the townsite and dog-friendly atmosphere are major draws. However, some find the campgrounds crowded and noisy, and the park can be expensive.
"Parks staff very friendly. Located in Town, so awesome if you want to catch a movie at the theatre or grab an ice cream. Everything was within walking distance. Also has hot showers! There are no fire pits"
Rachel McRae
"I thought the walk-in sites would be more spacious than they were. They felt very crowded in certain areas. I also booked two sites because it said online that you could only have one tent per site...it sounds like that is not accurate, or they don't enforce it. We had an issue with campers leaving their stuff in the cooking area, I didn't feel like the wardens presence was felt at this campground. Great location though! We could hear the wind rushing over the lake one night, but it stayed up in the top of the trees, so not bad with the tents."
Melissa Horton
"I fell in love with this place. Waterton isn't the cheapest place to stay, but this campsite is the best option. The showers are very clean and pleasant, with hot water. It's one of the best spots for stargazing, even with a few streetlights that can be hidden behind the trees."
