What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Watersprite Lake is a challenging but incredibly rewarding hike, praised for its spectacular turquoise alpine lake and stunning mountain views. While the FSR access requires a capable vehicle and the hike itself can be long with repetitive scenery, the breathtaking destination makes it all worthwhile. Visitors recommend sturdy boots and preparing for a very cold swim.
"One of the harder hikes that I have been on. Didn’t realize there were going to be boulders that you would have to climb over. This hike also felt so long as the scenery was the same for couple of hours so I didn’t know when it was going to end. The view was still worth it though.
I would highly recommend driving a 4x4 as the road was quite difficult to drive on. I was surprised to see some cars make it up all the way. There is also a small parking lot so I recommend going super early."

"40 minutes on-way drive on FSR with sections covered in loose/sharp rock so 4x4/proper tires recommanded. trail is long, mostly flat with most of the incline near the end. View was spectacular at the lake."

"Need a 4x4 if you don't want to have a stressful experience up the fsr.
Hike and lake itself are beautiful, challenging and rewarding. I would definitely try and book a BCMC campsite next time."
