"Following a tourist map for visitors to Vernon, this location was quite hard to find initially.
Our group initially passed it and ended up high up in the residential area being very confused on the exact location. After a detailed look at maps, we found that there were two small lots of free parking before entering the trails to climb to this point.
The trail is situated behind the residential backyard followed by a steel climb upwards with rails. After a short walk, you can get a pretty good view of the area without exerting much energy.

"Turtle mountain lookout point in Vernon, BC, is a great spot to enjoy the sights and take photos of Vernon and Okanagan lake. Head up Turtle Mountain and there is a parking lot on either side of the road to park. The left hand side of road leads to a trail to the lookout (the right hand side is another trail down the mountain), turn left and climb up the winding wooden stairs to reach the top.
There are no railings, so be aware of safety for kids and dogs. It has great views all season long and it’s fairly flat on top."
