What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Vaseux Lake Provincial Park is praised for its abundant wildlife, peaceful lakeside camping, and friendly staff, offering a budget-friendly outdoor experience. Some visitors note the proximity to Highway 97 as a drawback, but many find the natural beauty and serene atmosphere outweigh this concern.
"Spent 2 weeks here. We enjoyed the wildlife viewing and spring fishing. The park manager was a person I worked with up in the patch, it was a great conversation the whole time we were there. Bathroom stalls were clean and access to pay wood. We would definitely stay there again. The trade off for the beauty is the highway noise. We didn't notice after a couple of days."

"It's fine, but it's small, with nothing to do or no where to walk to.
It is right beside the highway, so expect traffic noise.
Park staff were super friendly, so the rating has nothing to do with staff, set up, cleanliness, etc. It is simply a park with some nice sites an easy access abd easy to find. But that's it."
Anthony
"I had a wonderful wild camp here. Only cost me $18 a night basic facilities. But quiet and well maintained. The lake is clean, good for swimming, and fishing. I caught some huge white fish and carp. Small town nearby was easy to get supplies from. The campsite is next to the road but small so you do feel the solitude.
If you are a fisherman, there some good sites with you own mini beach. Security was not a problem. Could leave my fishing gear out overnight all there in the morning. Small animals around at night looking for food scraps nothing big brown and scary."
