Visitors consistently praise Tunnel Mountain Summit for its stunning panoramic views of Banff and the surrounding Rockies, calling it a 'real hidden gem.' The well-maintained trail and convenient location are frequently highlighted as positives. "We hiked Tunnel Mountain Summit for the first time and were truly amazed! The views are stunning, and the trail is well-maintained with a pleasant mix of rock and soft pine needles. It’s an easy, enjoyable hike—perfect for burning some calories while soaking in the scenery. The trail can get busy, as it draws visitors from all over, but it’s absolutely worth it. A real hidden gem in Banff, and so conveniently close to the trailer court. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!"

"We loved this hike but I wouldn’t say it was “easy.” While we saw many younger people stride by us, the steep switchbacks were very much felt in our knees and the trip down was a lot of strain on our knees but we loved it. The views from the top of this 5,532 ft mountain were spectacular and you can see all of Banff town center, the Fairmont, beautiful Bow River and more. At one point in the trail you are almost parallel to an adjacent mountain and it’s very exciting to be that close. They have two Adirondack chairs at the top. No washrooms so be sure to go before your hike."

"Absolutely beautiful hike that overlooks Banff. Relatively easy depending on fitness. Took about 40mins from the bottom of the hike. However you can start about 1/4 of the way through if you have a car there is a parking spot that misses the first 400metres. Overall it was stunning here and a great free activity to do 🏔️"
