"I was nervous seeing all the bad reviews but after experiencing jury duty, I can confidently provide a five star review. Cannot comment on the other services offered in this building.
Court officers are polite, patient and knowledgeable (they even held an improvised Q&A session). The judges are impressive by their eloquence but very down to earth and fair.
Tips:
As of October 2025, the closet TTC station is St Patrick South East entrance (Osgoode north east exit is blocked due to construction)
Building has one entrance and many exits. The only entrance is secured like the airport so to make it as quick as possible, empty your pockets into your bag/backpack and go through the metal detector with the least amount of metal or foil.
Bring a good book or if you work remotely, you can bring your laptop. The jury lounge has some outlets if you need to plug but please refrain from making calls. Also bring headphones if you want to listen to music. Once you move out of the lounge, you may not have the opportunity to use electronic devices so a book is always the best option to pass time.
The summons letter is the most precious document while you are there. You will be in trouble if you lose it. You will have to show it multiple times during the process and even leave it with the officers if you need to step out of the room. Make photocopies if you feel you might lose it.
When you are given a certain time to come back, ask if you are allowed to leave the building or not. If so, take into consideration the time it takes to redo security. Make a note of the court room number you are asked to come back to (they all look alike)
Bring water and your own lunch if possible. Cafeteria on level B2 has limited options and the sitting area feels claustrophobic (basement no windows). You are allowed to eat in the lounge but not in the court rooms."

"Visited the courthouse as a journalist conducting a public survey of performance at the courthouse. None of the police officers or staff at the courthouse were familiar with Section 136 of Ontario's Courts of Justice Act which deals with recording in the court building by members of the public. The Attorney General of Ontario needs to better train those who work at courthouses as to the rights of people who come into the courthouse. One police security officer was very disrespectful and refused to give me his badge number or name as he sat in his chair behind a counter and disrespectfully played with his cell phone. This officer indicated that it was not his job to know the law and that he had no obligation to provide his name and badge number when asked."

"Awful experience! 3 times! This place is weird, it seems they do not care or know anything about anything, and they totally lack customer service, so be AWARE! The 1st time I went there I was quite lost about filing a motion to my case, so I talked to a person called Wally (according to another worker) He literally states: ''what do you want me to do?'', ''I can't do anything'', ''we do not give legal advice or call no one'', ''Go talk to your ex and you ask him to pay the owed amount'' (I was in a domestic violence situation). The 2nd time I went to ask for my file which took like 2 weeks to arrive. The 3rd time, yesterday was awful! I went to pick up my file and asked to file a motion to the guy that attended me; my bad luck this worker calls Wally and gives him my file, I asked him: ''I need to get a copy of my file and file a motion'' immediately he interrupts me and do not listen to me, saying ''No we cannot help you'', ''Go somewhere else!'' I was so upset I told him I'm not talking to him anymore because he is so rude, ignoring me and talking and laughing with other workers in my face, I was like this stupid behaviour from adults? I talked to a nicer girl at the entrance that told me ''You can file a motion, but it is gonna get rejected'' I left! and hopefully I never go there anymore! It is alarming this behaviour, the lack of communication and the time wasted there, so beware and if they are rude to you SPEAK UP!!! attached pic of Wally"
