Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate Mist Garden for its enchanting 'garden in the evening mist' ambiance and its festive 'Christmas Forest' transformation during the holidays. The historical significance of the site as a former legendary recording studio adds a unique layer of interest. However, some find the garden to be smaller than expected, and wish for clearer information on mist schedules.
"Reading about the recording of Gordon Lightfoot's "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" on wiki led me to 48 Yorkville Ave.
"The song was recorded in December 1975 at Eastern Sound, a recording studio composed of two Victorian houses at 48 Yorkville Avenue in a then-hippie district of downtown Toronto. The famous studio, which also recorded Rush, Cat Stevens, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and Jimi Hendrix, was later torn down and replaced by a parking lot."
Reading about the studio elsewhere, people likened it to Toronto's "Abbey Road."
It's a shame it wasn't preserved.
4 stars cause it's a nice little park, but -1 star cause I wish the studio still existed."

"A lot smaller than I anticipated and there should be a place that shoes when the mist will go off but really good"
