Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find Black Creek Pioneer Village to be a charming and educational experience, especially during its special events. While some note that certain buildings may be closed, the knowledgeable staff and the immersive atmosphere of stepping back in time are consistently praised. It's a beloved spot for families and those interested in local history.
"Fun day during maple fest. Expected more crafts and interactive activities for kids but it was more a walk around and look and listen kind of day. The workers kept them somewhat intrigued. The band in the town hall were amazing. Maple syrup was great tasting as was the cocoa. Pancakes tasted kind of fishy. The employees were all very kind and knowledgeable. Would go back again the summer."

"I would say in the past it was a better experience. When we were there some shops were closed. And some places you were not permitted to go upstairs which ruins the whole experience. Overall a nice place."

"I absolutely love this place! I grew up here and my kids grew up here. You walk through the entrance into the village and you are transported back in time. Excellent staff and volunteers. Unfortunately I can only give it four stars because it is in desperate need of funding from the various levels of government. It is sad that some buildings have had to be shut and features like the pump were lost years ago. On my last visit the herb garden had disappeared as well. I highly recommend their fall festival if we're lucky enough to get it back next year."
