What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Artscape Youngplace is praised as a fantastic arts hub in a historic downtown Toronto building, offering diverse and thought-provoking exhibitions, particularly noted during events like the TO Design Festival. Visitors also appreciate the opportunity to engage in creative workshops like pottery. Some minor drawbacks include the open nature of certain functional spaces, which can lead to interruptions.
"So far, ive one been here for the stage on the main floor, don't know what else is in the building, but nice place for it."
Shaggy Shanahan
"Went here for the TO Design Festival on a frigid Saturday and it was worth the walk!
There were numerous exhibits that they put on for the festival and a coupe of them touched upon the theme of death. As someone who has experienced a family death recently, I was very impressed and related to a lot of the exhibits. They are sure to provoke new thoughts and instil a new perspective of thinking about the end of life, whether your own life or of those around you.
There are also lighter exhibits including those which touched upon South Asian mythology and modern world of gay dating.
All in all, a fantastic place for art located in an old building in downtown Toronto."
Timothy Lo
"Attended a short baking class here. Good location, clean facilities, and very functional. Docking a star because the kitchen was too open so people can just keep walking around who werent part of the class."
