"Tonquin Trailhead (the “Beach” side of the trail to the right) is closed April 7th - May 2025 for bridge repair. Bummer. Decided to go left (“Not Beach”) on the connector trail and it was disappointing… a newly constructed gravel “path” that is wide enough to fit two cars side by side. Tons of path construction debris and cut down trees. Not the forest trail I was hoping for. Also, there is zero signage on the connector trail and it’s branches. Walked down to what looks like a sewage treatment plant and turned back. Not a place I’d visit again."

"As of Feb 2025 the trail is open, lovely ~15 minute gravel walk from the community centre down to Tonquin Beach. You can also keep going down the longer trail to Third Beach and Middle Beach, which are beautiful and great places to find starfish and tide pools."
