What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the International Friendship Gardens for its beautiful, accessible paths and the unique cultural monuments representing global diversity. It's a peaceful urban oasis perfect for leisurely walks, picnics, and enjoying nature. While generally well-maintained, the condition of the single porta-potty has been noted as a drawback.
"A generally well-kept park, and very accessible with nicely cleaned and paved paths throughout. These pictures were taken at the beginning of September, so it was pretty quiet at the time."

"My favorite place to go with my partner. We love to see so much nature teaming with life, especially right in the city. You really can easily forget that you are in town. We have a blast watching the birds around the ponds, having a picnic, or playing pokemon go. Its one of the few places where I am able to walk and pace myself with my disability, as there are plenty of benches that are never too far apart. It is a beautiful place, and you can even arrange to have events like birthdays or weddings there as well. Will always be special to us."

"I fell in love with this park and was very glad I came for a visit on my way through the city! The monuments were all a neat sight to see. I wish the little castle wasn't fenced in but I understand why it would be. The next time I find myself in Thunder Bay I'll be sure to stop in for another wonderful walk around the park.
The one porta potty they had available in the park was a little questionable. I decided not to go inside as it smelled awful just walking near it... I didn't want to know how it looked on the inside."
