"Went there this past weekend Aug 10th to the 12th and it was amazing. Both my sons and nephew are special needs and this beautiful camp ground was set up beautifully. We went as a family of 21people in total, and tented the entire time. We were able to set up 6 big tents all between 8-12 people tents and still had room to put up more. Mona and Randy the site supervisors were so welcoming and accommodating to our needs. My vans alternator and battery decided to go while up there, and they did there best to help me and my family in every way possible.
There is a beautiful covered eating area, with a big BBQ and fridge set up that we were allowed to use the entire time we were there, swings, merry go round, basketball net that is adjustable, sand box with toys and a badminton court, plus other games we were allowed to use. The bathrooms were clean, and down at the lake they had extra life jackets for the kids if we didn't have any.
The lake was great for fishing, not necessarily for swimming, but if it got to hot there was a hose we could have probably used for the kids to play in. Most all walking trails were paved which was great, especially if any one has balance issues and or in a wheel chair, and all trails had solar lights for when it got dark.
The camp ground is easy totget to and the roads are well maintained. Only issue we had was a squirrel who did not like us and would throw sticks and pinecones at our tents or us. Which was funny! Definitely will go again and would like to try the cabins next."
