"Such a great time! We took the tall ship out. Staff were great, funny and helpful. Very knowledgeable and engaged with the kids. They had pirate dress up, face painting on the ship, gave us cookies and hot chocolate on the ride back to shore (not cheap hard cookies, but big delicious ginger cookies that seemed homemade). They had a touch tank of sea creatures for the kids to hold as well! They had blankets and rain coats to pass out of anyone was getting splashed or just cold. Captain made sure to take his time so we had lots of opportunities to see the local wildlife. Highly recommend, especially for kids! Will definitely come back here again!"

"Very friendly & knowledgeable team. The boat is very comfortable for those with back or neck issues. Captain is very experienced & works hard to find the nature we seek to see. All around A1 adventure & so glad we chose Crusine with the Whales. They have a few nice surprises for you too as you head back. Highly recommend the Captain & crew & the smooth boat ride."

Choosing Your Whale Watching Vessel
For those prioritizing speed and potentially covering more ground, other companies offer tours on faster, modern boats. These vessels can sometimes reach whale sightings more quickly and may offer a more stable ride in choppier waters. However, they might lack the unique charm and interactive elements of a tall ship. Consider your priorities: a unique, family-focused adventure or a faster-paced wildlife search.
Regardless of your choice, most tours are led by experienced captains and knowledgeable guides who are passionate about marine life. They are adept at locating whales and other wildlife, and often share fascinating insights into their behavior and the ecosystem of the Bay of Fundy.
Wildlife Encounters in the Bay of Fundy
Beyond the cetaceans, keep an eye on the water's surface and the shorelines for seals and sea lions basking in the sun or playfully swimming. The skies above are often graced by bald eagles, soaring majestically and occasionally diving for fish. The diverse marine ecosystem supports a vibrant food chain, attracting these magnificent predators.
Many tours also feature a touch tank onboard, allowing younger visitors (and the young at heart!) to get up close with smaller marine creatures like starfish, crabs, and sea urchins. This hands-on experience adds another layer of engagement to the already exciting journey.
Family Fun and Special Touches
Another highlight that consistently receives praise is the complimentary cookies and hot chocolate served on the return journey. These aren't just any cookies; reviewers often describe them as large, delicious, and seemingly homemade, providing a warm and comforting end to the excursion. This thoughtful gesture adds a special touch that guests remember.
Furthermore, the crews are frequently commended for their knowledgeable and engaging interactions with children. They make an effort to educate and entertain, ensuring that even the youngest passengers are captivated by the marine world. The provision of blankets and rain gear also demonstrates a commitment to guest comfort, making the experience enjoyable regardless of the weather.
