"Saint Andrew’s on a holiday weekend was very ‘peoply’. Somehow we didn’t expect that. Having a chance to sit by the water on the property the Blockhouse occupies was a great place to enjoy the sights and sounds of the waterfront without too many people. There were many families that arrived as the night came to a close and every family arrived with blankets to sit on. We got lucky and had the opportunity to enjoy a fireworks display that had been previously rescheduled to the day we just happened to be visiting. It’s a lovely spot to let kids play, unwind with a book or a picnic and just enjoy being in Saint Andrew’s yet feeling as though you are miles away."

"Just a nice blockhouse.
Not very exciting
But good descriptions of function and war v. USA in 1812 especially relevant with Maine visible across the bay 🤷♂️"
