What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Purden Lake Provincial Park, calling it one of the best lakes they've ever experienced. Highlights include the beautiful sandy beach, great for kids, and the well-maintained, quiet campgrounds. Some wish for coin showers and power hookups, but overall, it's a highly recommended summer destination.
"This lake is pne of the best lakes I habe ever been. beautiful scenes with lovely spots for gathering and also a great sand beach for kids to play on. I highly recommend if you have not been here. You can stay for a night (not at the beach side or parking area). There are so designated night camp areas that you can enjoy staying for a night there. Do not miss it in summer as this park is seasonal and you can not enjoy it after September and before May."

"Wonderful campsite. Lots of space between spots. Quiet. Flush toilets. Wonderful beach, good boat launch, great dock, awesome playground. Would be nice if there were coin showers and power hookups (I hated hearing generator noise)."

"About 45 min drive east of Prince George, this gorgeous lake is a hidden oasis. Arrive early to secure a picnic table. The camp grounds get full fast, so book ahead. The road is newly paved all the way down to the lake, so you don't have to worry about dirt roads and potholes. There is also a separate dog friendly beach area, fully fenced off & access to the water."
