The free admission to the historic house and gardens makes it a highly accessible cultural gem. While some note the tea temperature could be hotter, the overall value and charm of the estate are overwhelmingly positive.
"I went for afternoon tea. Before the service we visited the historical house, and the forest garden. The site is enchanting. There are photos with information about the tradition of tea throughout the forest. The house hosts an art gallery and beautiful period furnitures. Staff was available to answer questions and they were very knowledgeable. The tea service was very special: the setting on the porch, the delicious food, staff presentation. The only negative was that the tea was not very hot despite the tea cozy. Reservation is a must for the tea service."

"Not the best tea, but certainly the best food for the price. The setup is also very nice and the staff is just great."

"I visited "The Uplands" in Sherbrooke today, and I must say it's a remarkable place. The Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre, set on the historic Uplands estate dating back to 1862, offers a fascinating journey into the history and cultural traditions of Lennoxville (Sherbrooke) and its region through a diverse cultural program. The experience was enriching, and I would gladly give it a 5-star review. If you're in Sherbrooke, don't miss the opportunity to explore this cultural gem! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

The Beloved Afternoon Tea
While the setting and food receive high praise, a recurring observation is that the tea itself may not always be served at the ideal piping hot temperature, sometimes attributed to the use of tea cozies. Despite this minor point, the value for money and the delightful ambiance make the tea service a worthwhile indulgence for many. Reservations are essential to secure a spot for this popular offering.
