"I had the opportunity to attend the Flag Salute and Welcome Ceremony for New Quebecers this Monday, January 20, at 2:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of Sherbrooke City Hall.
This event was a memorable and touching moment. Mayor Évelyne Beaudin welcomed the participants with warmth and kindness, making me feel truly included and valued as a new citizen of this beautiful region.
The musical performance by Félix Leroux added a wonderful artistic and cultural dimension to the ceremony, making the atmosphere even more welcoming and inspiring.
I would like to thank the City of Sherbrooke and the Ministère de l'Immigration for organizing this event. This type of initiative strengthens the sense of belonging and demonstrates the authorities' commitment to integrating newcomers.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this day special."
