"Although I consider my experience at the DF valuable, I have to inform others on the reality of it. I slept with 5 people in a room that was so cold I had to sleep fully dressed. The food was so terrible that most students were rationing groceries from the nearby town. Some “mentor” musicians were frequently condescending in a way that demotivates young people. I had a long journey to the DF and did not feel welcome. Considering we paid tuition for this (certainly enough for food & proper bedding), I can’t recommend it to my colleagues.
